Mrs. Heidy Lesage-Baumgartner
Archaeological restorer and conservator. From 1985 to 1996 she participated in excavations in the Society and Austral Islands organized by the archaeological department of Tahiti. Member of the "Rock Art Project": recording petroglyphs, stone statues and associated ceremonial structures in the Marquesas Islands. For several years she was the cruise director onboard the Aranui. Since 2003 , team worker for the "Service de la Culture" in Tahiti. Freelance tour guide and lecturer in Polynesia. Co-author of the guide book "Mave Mai, the Marquesas Islands". Lectures focused on Polynesian migration and navigation and Marquesan culture. |
