| Lecturers | Mrs. Marie-Noelle Ottino Doctorate in prehistory, ethnology and anthropology from University of Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne. An Associate member of the Laboratory UMR 7041 (Ethnology and Preshistory) of the CNRS. She participated in the archaeological researches and restorations, especially in the Marquesas islands of Ua Pou, Ua Huka, Nuku Hiva, Hiva Oa and Tahuata. Since the 1980's, she and her husband, Pierre participated in the study of the Polynesian Patrimony in the Marquesan Archipelago which extended to the discovery of the most ancient sites of oriental Polynesia at Anapua, Ua Pou. It also lead to the systematic study of the valleys, such as the ceremonial complex of Tahakia-Kamuihei-Tei'ipoka, and the religious site of I'ipona. She has contributed to numerous publications such as dictionaries, exhibition catalogues - Musee de l'Homme, Tresors des iles Marquises (1995), Musees du Nord, Oceanie, Curieux - Naviateurs et savants (1997), Musee de charters, Kanniblas et Vahines (2001), French publications about Polynesia and wrote in 1991, "Hiva Oa, Glimpses of an Oceanic Memory" |
